Back in Harbortown, peace wears a borrowed face. The Jade Lantern Inn is open again, but signs of the chaos Esmeralda left behind still linger. Mei keeps the café moving. Dre holds the counter together. And a new arrival named Asako brings order with a loud voice and a sharper eye.
Then Danny returns.
Not with answers–just more questions and blood on his sleeves. He’s hunted now, marked by a name he doesn’t remember and a cult he barely understands. The Dawn of Shadow has sent their assassins. And right when it counts, Esmeralda steps out of myth and memory to save him.
But not everything is forgiven. Not everything can be.
